HISTORY
Kent Seeman and Rich Schleyhahn both graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale majoring in Architectural Technology. Kent has been a design-build contractor since 1993, where he primarily constructed pre-engineered metal buildings for coin laundry and dry-cleaning facilities throughout the Midwest. He built over 60 facilities ranging from Nashville, TN and Dubuque, IA.
When the industry slowed in the mid-2000's, Kent and Rich reunited and formed Illinois Valley Construction, LLC. Their commitment to serving the Central Illinois area and customers within 200 miles allows them to spend time with family. Concentrating on the commercial sector, IVC is the exclusive dealer for American Building Company, a pre-engineered steel building manufacturer.
IVC has continually evolved, broadening the scope of the services we provide to better meet the needs of our customers. Illinois Valley Construction is proud to offer many of its own craftsmen on your project. We feel that building your project is the best way to keep your costs down and maintain construction flow and integrity. On your project, our craftsmen will be excavating, pouring your concrete, and installing all your rough and finish carpentry—everything a quality building requires.
Illinois Valley Construction will also design and build your new home. Together we have 70 years combined experience in residential construction, including framing, rough and finish carpentry. We also offer all aspects of remodeling, both residential and commercial. No job is too big or too small.
